Promotional themes K - 12

   Is anyone interested in sharing promotional themes? Display ideas?
Bulletin board ideas? ETC.?
   I am a high school media specialist, but having been at the ele. level
also I know that almost all themes can be adapted for ANY grade level.
For January we have a 3-D picture of a race car (Daytona 500 is coming up!)
and books about car repair in our wall display cases.  We had a 3-D wolf
picture in Dec. with winter animal pictures and Arctic animal books.
(Bought the 3-D wolf picture at Wal-Mart for $4.00 and the race car at Ben
Franklin for $10.00)  The students...and teachers have had a great time
finding the picture within the picture!  We are having a challenge question
to document how the 3-D pictures are made (research skills!)
   In February we will have a map of the world with "I love you" in many
languages tagged on the correct country (could turn that into a contest!?!)
Also our local Doll House Miniature Club is filling our glass case with a
display of mini-rooms and some of the tools used to make them.  We had a
dinosaur theme at the beginning of the year...."Explore your media
center...you never know what you'll find!" as a follow-up to Jurassic Park.
   Well...that is Seabreeze....what are you doing?
   (I have only been on LM_NET for a few months....hope that this wasn't
covered recently.)
