Library Skills Class-Middle School

I'm a brand new middle school librarian who may be teaching a library
skills class by the end of January.  Help! Angst!
Does anyone have information for such a class offered as a one semester elective
 ?
I could use an outline, a text?, workbook?, activities, etc.  We have an
Internet station in the planning stages, but I can't count on it this year.
