One use I saw which particularly impressed me and would be adaptable to
any "news" disk was in a social science class where, as part of a major
assignment, a study of the Middle East was under way.  The teacher had two
groups look at ABC new coverage of events in Palestine. Then, one group
was to edit the clips and give the viewpoint of a young Israeli boy, and
the other that of a young Palestinian boy.  Using the same raw material,
but using the interactive video disk, the groups were able to support
their particular point of view.  The lseeson opened up all kinds of avenues.
