Internet use at grade 1-3?

I am posting this message for a colleague of mine who is an elementary
school principal intested in how the Internet might be used in the early
primary years (grades 1,2,3). He is interested in hearing from people who
have tried (or are thinking about trying) to use Interent at this grade
level beyond mere e-mail type "pen-pal stuff". If you have any
