Our high school of 1500 students has appreciated having Grangers' World
of Poetry as one of our text CD-ROMs - it spoils you for looking up
poetry locations and also includes over 3500 poems and quotes. Another
choice would be the Time Compact World Almanac, which is issued yearly at
a modest price. If I had money right now, I'd also buy the Mayo Clinic
disk on diseases and health (that's not the exact title--) Also, we just
got the American History Sources, Volume I and Volume 2 which cove4rs the
period of history from about 1900 on. It's a compilation of original
source documents. Of course, Grolier and SIRS - at least the index to
SIRS - will get lots of use. Good luck - we all have our favorites,
don't we? It's incredible the way the number and variety of disks has
mulitiplied. I recall when the only one for lfibraries that was
available was a beta version of Bibliofile!
