Approaching Software

Dear LM_Netters

I will be teaching a course in using educational software and general
applications to teachers in the Library Science program at Western
Maryland College in the Spring.  My emphasis is to teach them how to
approach software rather than give them instruction on specific programs
and applications (which I do as a matter of demonstration and hands on
experience).  Do any of you have any tips, advice of secrets for getting
up and running on software in genereal or for applications types such as
word processing, graphics, CAI etc.  If you would share these with me I
will pass them on to my students.  Thanks in advance!
