Teleshop 3 will include:
$The basic principles of effective grantwriting
$Rules of thumb borrowed from a wide range of grantwriters
$Practical advice from library media specialist grantwriters

After Teleshop 3
you will be able to:
1. present a rationale for grantwriting
    in your school;
2. describe your role as a grantwriter
    and a partner to others in your
    school writing grants;
3. use the vocabulary of grantwriting;
4. critique a grant;
5. develop a grant proposal or respond
    to an RFP;
6. locate national, state, and local
    resources for seeking grants.

Teleshop 3 Activities
1. A brief presentation/demonstration
    of effective grantwriting.
2. Interviews with school library media
     specialists who are successful grant
     writers.
3. Critique of a poorly written grant
     proposal.
4. Local sites working through a case
     study grantwriting exercise.
5. Questions from the sites throughout
     the teleshop.



A toll free number will be available during Teleshop 3
for you to call in and talk to the presenters


A master copy of all handout
materials (camera ready)
will be sent to your local site coordinator by 15 March who
then will  will have permission
to make copies for each
participant. The site coordinator
will also be given receive specs for the satellite and transponder.

Teleshop 3 Costs
$250 per site---for LISDEC Members $200 day of teleshop use only
$500 year long use---for LISDEC Members $400
