Scott O'Dell's Black Star, Bright Dawn

Had a student who is reading this book come in on Friday and ask me to
help him find the definition of the word eewoonucks mentioned in the above
referenced book.  He had already tried an unabridged dictionary.  We tried
everything I could think of and did not find the work. Anyone out there
know its meaning. I told him I would get on the net and I was sure we
would get an answer.
