Book Prize

Each year our social studies department awards a book to an
outstanding student; a duplicate copy is purchased for the
library.  This year the winner has expressed an interest in
physics or economics.  I would be grateful for any suggestions.
The selection should be scholarly, but readable on a high school
level.  Biographies have been frequent choices in the past.
Thanks for any ideas.
