Dear Marcia: We've been dressing up as book characters for many Halloweeens...we usually ask the Library staff, volunteer parents, and any other assorted people who hover around to join us. We've done Babar (green jacket was borrowed from parent), Madeline (capes of blue felt), Cat in the Hat (hats of construction paper), Snow White (witch is easy!!)...etc. Our school has a parade on Halloween...we parade through and act out a 30 second version of the story. HINT: Carrying the book helps identify the sketchy costumes!! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Debbie Abilock "It is important that students bring a certain The Nueva School ragamuffin barefoot irreverence to their studies; Hillsborough, CA they are not here to worship what is known, but debbie@nueva.pvt.k12.ca.us to question it."
