electronic software

This is a personal question, but who better to ask than fellow
LM_NETTERS? My husband is interested in a MAC software program (basic or
beginner level) that he could use on the computer to enhance his skills
in electronics. Does anyone out there know of a good program, & where to
obtainn it. TIA.
