My 14 year old son has read as many Goosebumps as he could find. I read one and although I found it not particularly appealing, he was reading. Finally this winter he asked for something else to read and his father gave him The Hobbit. He read it and is going to the trilogy now. I think that Goosebumps got him in the reading habit and then he moved on to something else. I remember reading The Bobbsey Twins in elem. school and I moved on to other more "suitable" titles. (Although I have to admit I still read a Harlequin occasionally) Linda A.
