LM_NET: Library Media Networking
We are accessing the net using Chameleon. Our school adopted software pkg
is MS Works. When we save text files to disk from the net, including email
file (yes, even LM_NET), Works will not acknowledge the files and will not
open them. WordPerfect will convert, open, and allow use of the files. We
want everyone in our school to be using Works, not WordPerfect.
An easy solution would be to simply use WordPerfect for net files, but that
is not an option.
Can anyone suggest a solution for converting files into Works? Has anyone
else run into this problem? Can you refer me to someone who can help? Our
computer instructor and tech specialist were both nonbelievers that we had
this problem, but they have worked with me and are not believers - but don't
have any ideas for solving the problem. Help, please.
