Hmmm, I find that interesting because the Gumdrop books that I examined
Friday (my Gumdrop rep coincidentally came by Friday) carried 94, 95, and
96 copyright dates.

I usually buy individual new titles to fill in series we have already
purchased: _Opposing Viewpoints_, _Ideas in Conflict_, _Coping with..._,
etc.

It must be a difference in representatives because the one who calls on
me allows individual selections.  Hence, I am able to purchase only '96
copyrights if that's all I want -- and usually that's what I do.  Also, I
did notice this time that the rep who brought the books had included the
ratings by SLJ and other reviewers in the list.  I don't remember if that
has always been the case.

I wonder how much freedom most reps have in selling their wares -- if the
rules are set by them or by *their* suppliers?
