You are invited to attend a workshop introducing _The Educator's Information Highway_ The workshop will be a 1-1/2 day pre-session at the Chicago conference of the American Educational Research Association. Dates are Sun, Mar 23 (8:30 to 5:00) and Mon Mar 24 (8-11). The session, including hands-on practice, shows how to gather information systematically from print and nonprint materials, the Internet, commercial online documents, and human resources. Modem stations will be available, with a team of doctoral students to assist. You will receive teaching materials and a "cookbook" to lead you through the procedures. A related presentation involves a 1-1/2 hour roundtable entitled "Databases: A Path through the Jungle." This roundtable meets from 12:25 to 1:55 on March 28. The database session is sponsored by the Special Interest Group for Teaching in Educational Administration (SIG/TEA). Concurrent roundtables deal with other topics in the teaching of educational administration. Just to introduce myself (the presenter), I am author of _The Educator's Information Highway_ (Technomic, 1995) and its two updates (May and Dec, 1996). I direct the Ed.D. program in Educational Leadership & Administration at Azusa Pacific University in southern California and was formerly school district administrator and librarian.
