TARGET:ELEM:Donna Jo Napoli-Author Visit

Some of our students have struck up a correspondence with Donna Jo Napoli,
who has been very responsive.  Their teachers would like her to come to our
school and she has been gracious enough to offer to squeeze us in this year
(what's left of it!).  I was interested in hearing feedback from any schools
who have had her as a visiting author.  Our school is grades 5 and 6.

These teachers were quite surprised when I told them I would contact her to
find out what her fee would be.  They didn't realize that authors actually
*charge* to come and work with kids all day!  They were even more surprised
to find out *how much* they charge!  That being the case, the visit will
must likely not happen this year, but I'd still be interested in your
comments for future reference!
