Re: Hit-student helpers

Just one additional note re:  student helpers.  In our middle school, we
have a volunteer program called PRO (People Reaching Out).  Students
volunteer at nursing homes, elementary schools, nursery schools, etc.
They receive credit for hours put in.

With the okay of the PRO advisor, we have added library helper to the PRO
list.  Thus, students can pile on even more volunteer hours, for which
they are rewarded at the end of the year. That, plus a certificate from
the library at the end of the year, seems to satisfy most of our helpers.
