Thought I'd see if anyone in this esteemed group can help explain something that's happening on my computer. I have an e-mail/Internet account at work via ISDN line. Just the other day I connected my home computer, via modem, in order to download my email at home. For almost 95% of the time when downloading my email at home, everything comes to a grinding halt after a few messages have downloaded, freezing up the computer, stopping the timer on my modem screen, and stopping the loading of messages. There does not seem to be a magic number of messages that get loaded before stopping. I have to do the "Control-Apple-Start" keys thing to get started again. Of course since the email messages were interrupted, when I try to download again it starts all over from the top. My Eudora settings match both at home and at work. If you have any ideas as to how I might fix this, please respond. It's getting really annoying! Thanks. ************************************************************************ Kathy Graves kgraves@sisnet.ssku.k12.ca.us IMC Director/Librarian ph: 530-852-8427 Siskiyou County Supt. of Schools FAX: 530-842-8436 609 South Gold St. Yreka, CA 96097 ************************************************************************ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write EITHER 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST NOTE: Please allow time for confirmation from Listserv.
