I am a new member to this group and have really enjoyed all the wonderful ideas I have gotten already. What a great resource you all are. I am a new elementary librarian and went to work in my new school yesterday for the first time. As I was looking the books over it became real apparent that about one third of my collection is covered with mold and mildew. What should I do? I've started to pull the bad ones and place them in a seperate area of the library but is there a way to clean them? Apparently they tested the humidity in the library and it ranges from a low of 79% to a high of 89%. Does anyone know what hte humidity level of a library should be?? Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated!
