Hi. Hope you all enjoyed your winter break. I sure did. But, back to the issues at hand. I am looking for modern stories about the rights of people. I know this sounds broad but I would like to read something (either chapter or short) to my fifth graders to tie in to the theme of Martin Luther King Day. As with many fifth graders and middle schoolers, they often have a difficult time getting along and do not easily see that all people have rights. As a group, I would definately label them as reluctant readers as well. So, I'm trying to spark some interest. Please help. If a get a great deal of information, I will post a HIT.
