I serve K-8 and the only divisions for students that I make are the following: picture books and early readers are in one area (E for everybody or easy); chapter books for all readers in another area (F for fiction); and then a YA section for 6th through 8th graders (placed there for either language, content, or reading level). I think if there were any additional divisions it would be too hard to find books and too hard to maintain good order when I have volunteer shelvers.
