I need some feedback regarding whether your school districts have district-wide library media center policy handbooks. While attending graduate school for my masters in library science, it was a requirement to develop a LMC policy manual. My superintendent has mentioned an interest in having an LMC policy manual for the school district. One of my colleagues believes that it is not a necessity and would like validation for the need for such a policy manual. I would drag out all my textbooks and other resources but they are still boxed up in the gym. My library is being renovated and won't be ready for another two weeks. TIA for your input. Maureen D.
