From Family Circle Magazine Sept. 1, 2000 page 12 Who Owns That Web Site? Does the "contact us" link on that travel Web site offer only an e-mail address? Can't find the home office of that online discount store that has you in voicemail hell? If a Web site has buried its contact information you can ferret it out by pointing your browser to http://webnic.registrars.com/whois/index.html or www.register.com Enter the domain name of the Web site, then click on the "who is" search button. Both sites provide information on who registered the Web site, an address, and a telephone number.
