Dear All, My second grade teachers have been very enthusiastic about some dictionary lessons I have been doing, but we desperately need a set of more up-to-date, kid-friendly dictionaries. Do you have a favorite that you use with this age group? Children's dictionaries (as opposed to picture, first, or student dictionaries) seem to be at the right level for us. Right now we are considering the American Heritage Children's Dictionary and the Scholastic Children's Dictionary. Do you have experience, good or bad, with either of these, or do you love something else? While questions like this can be found in the archives, there aren't any useful hits. I'd be glad to post a hit if there is interest. -- Jan Aldrich Solow Library Media Specialist Lt.
