I'm putting together a webpage with links to language arts activities and author/illustrator information for the following books which are the titles on our state K/2 Battle of the Books list. If you have any links to share, please let me know. So far I've found very little. Down By The River (Donkersloot, Sara) The Gingerbread Boy (Galdone, Paul) Jesse Bear What Will You Wear (Carlstrom, Nancy and Bruce Deegan) Just Another Ordinary Day (Clement, Ron) No, David (Shannon, David) Blueberry Shoe (Dixon, Ann and Yvonne Zerbetz) Chicken Sunday (Polacco, Patricia) Henry and Mudget in the Sparkle Days (Rylant, Cynthia and Sucie Stevenson) Lyle, Lyle Crocodile (Waber, Bernard) Strega Nona (DePaola, Tomi) Arctic Son (George, Jean Craighead and Wendall Minor) Bringing the Rain to Kapiti Plain (Aardema, Verna) Golly Sisters Ride Again (Byars, Betsy and Sue Truesdell) Library (Stewart, Sarah and David Small) Nate the Great and the Missing Key (Sharmat, Marjorie and Marc Simont) This is what I'ved checked so far: Google Search for each title http://www.google.com S.C.O.R.E. Cyberguides http://www.sdcoe.k12.ca.us/score/cyberguide.html Learning About Authors (Kay Vandergift) http://www.scils.rutgers.edu/special/kay/authora.html Doucette Index http://www.educ.ucalgary.ca/litindex/ Children’s Literature Web Guide http://www.acs.ucalgary.ca/~dkbrown/index.html And just so you know...I emailed amazon.com to ask permission to use their book images on my web page. Much to my surprise, the request was denied. -- Roz Goodman, Media Specialist Southwest Region Schools PO Box 90 Dillingham, AK 99576 907-842-5287, FAX 842-5428 rgoodman@dlg.swrsd.gcisa.net =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
