I am doing lots of booktalks this year and thought that a nice change to the traditional would be to just read first pages (or even paragraphs) which really are compelling--the new Lois Lowry book "Gathering Blue" is a natural and I've come up with a bunch, but wondered if anyone has a trove of good suggestions for first page/paragraph "grabbers?" I will post a hit. Thanks. ===== Karen McCahill Library Media Teacher Burlingame Intermediate School Burlingame, CA 94010 chloe51@yahoo.com Phone 650.259.3838 FAX 650.259.3843 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
