As an educator and parent, I would have no problem
with
books like this *if* they are for children, that is on
the child's reading level.

But if you are thinking of buying books like this, or
if you have some and have had (or anticipate)
complaints,  it may be helpful to relate the book(s)
to something specific in your school's curriculum.
For
example, if a teacher assigns research on the lives of
famous artists, and the book contains the needed
information, you can more easily defend the book.  It
also helps to have challenge forms for parents to fill
out, and an evaluation form used when selecting the
book.
