Our AP American history teacher is looking for some outstanding titles
to require his students to read this semester. His goal is to expose
them to more than is offered in their text book. The areas he is
interested in are rather broad. They include the following topics during
the 19th century: presidents, women, and slavery. He wants primarily
nonfiction, but a few historical fiction books would be fine. The
students will be reading three books this semester. I am searching for
materials for him, but your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If
you have any outstanding recommendations, please send them directly to
me. Thanks.
