ELEM: books to read at student orientation

Hello!
This is my first post after gleaning wonderful information for several
months.

In response to a request from a new LMS, elementary library media
specialists in my county have suggested the following books for K-2
orientations:

The Library
Library Dragon
Library 'Lil
Walter's Magic Wand
Stella Louella's Runaway Book
Red Light, Green Light, Mama and Me
Blue Bug Goes to the Library
I Took My Frog to the Library

Can You Guess Where We're Going?  by Elvira Wood is a new one about
going to a public library.

I sometimes read books that are about reading too, like

Fix-It by David McPhail (good for K)
Wolf! by Becky Bloom (good for 1-2)
More Than Anything Else (Booker T. Washington will be studied by gr. 3
later in the year)
Aunt Chip and the Great Triple Creek Dam Affair (4th, maybe 5th)and

Alistair in Outer Space
