I am a media specialist in a 5-8 building. We are not automated. This will be my third year. The card catalog is a disaster area. For the last year, I have been working on just matching up shelf list cards with books that are actually on the shelf and weeding. One of our 6th grade teachers wants her students to check out adventure stories on Friday. I am not sure they have been cataloged with such a subheading so feel it would be difficult to direct students to where they could be found. Can any of you suggest specific authors which I could then compare with the card catalog and make some suggestions to the students when they come in? Thanks in advance for your help.
