I'm reading a book that probably many of you already know-- but anyway-- It is "The Killer Angels" by Shaara. It is the story of the Battle of Gettysburg told from the point of view of several of the participants from both sides (Lee, Longstreet, Chamberlain) The book won a Pulitzer. The author just draws you in to the story-- tried to figure out how I would sell this to my kids and it is hard to put your finger on it. I want to go back to Gettysburg and see the battlefield with a new perspective. If you haven't read it and are or know a history buff this is a compelling read. Also just finished Armstrong, "Shipwreck at the Bottom of the World" (I'm reading stuff from my school library ) Fascinating and almost unbelievable story. For fun and on my own I've read and enjoy Perri O'Shaughnessy, "Move to Strike" and "Motion to Suppress" Darlene Yasick, Media Specialist Hopkins High School lib027yas@juno.com Only a mediocre person is always at his best.
