Re: library volunteer luncheon

I just had my volunteer luncheon (we had taco salads and angel food cake
topped with strawberries!).  It is fun to sit and relax with them since
we don't see each much during the day, as we are busy!

For centerpieces, I used books. I wish I would have thought of it last
night, because then I would have used adult books.  But I had some extra
paperback books in my back room, so I put them on book stands, and set
them around the middle of the table.  When we done eating, I said, "If
you see a book you think your child would like to read, feel free to take
it."  All the books were gone!  I'm sure their children will enjoy them.
If I would have thought of it last night, I would have bought adult
books, and then they could have taken books for themselves.
