GEN: Harry Potter movie fundraiser

I have had many requests for info on our school's
fundraiser.

According to the mom who made the arrangements these
are some things to do when setting this up:

1.  Talk to the MAIN theatre manager -- she had 2
other managers tell her some things could be done,
like concession discounts, but the main manager told
her they could not.

2.  Get everything in writing (pretty obvious) before
signing a contract.  Make sure dates, times, rental
fees are correct.

3.  At the theatre we are using it was cheaper to rent
by the ticket than by the hour.  The mom was
originally told the movie was 1 hr 57 min.  If it had
been over 2 hrs. there would have been an additional
$500 charge!  The PTO decided to rent by the ticket so
there was a child's price and an adult price.

One suggestion that was made by another parent was
that perhaps all the tickets could be sold for the
same amount thus making more money.

4.  Ask for an attendant to watch the theatre door (be
sure it's in the contract).  The mom who made the
arrangements printed out tickets we are to use for
admittance -- they say "St. Bonaventure School and
Harry Potter."
