I am looking for a historical novel set in the US between 1810-1860 (antebellum/Jeffersonian period). This is for an AP history class and the teacher is looking for something that is not too long. I've already recommmeded the following titles but I think they are too lengthy: The Confessions of Nat Turner Uncle Tom's Cabin The Life of a Slave Girl Jubilee Any suggestions? Please reply to me directly. ===== Mary Jo Grundle, Librarian Mt.
