I posted a request for help in curing my mute computer. To my surprise I received only 2 attempts at help and about 10 requests for a hit since others have mute computers also. The 2 replies: 1. Have you tried double-clicking on the little speaker on the bottom right of the screen? That action will bring up the whole sound board where you can adjust the sound for each item individually - Master Volume - CD Volume and others... 2. Replace the sound card. --------------- #1. did not help. #2. I have not replaced the sound card yet. I wonder: If the sound card has "gone out" would I still get the awful internet connnection sound as well as dialing sound? I still have both those sounds, but no other sounds. -- Mary Croix Ludwick ludwick@swbell.net (home) ludwickm@lisd.net(school) Librarian, Owen Elem.,The Colony, Texas Lewisville ISD(north of Dallas) K-5 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
