I had one reply to this request and many requests for a hit so I decided to
do my own research
and came up with some really good sites

Thanks to Naomi for this suggestion:

I work with K-12 students in the library. What I'm
increasinginly seeing is students coming in from
elementary to jr. high and doing PowerPoint
productions for secondary teachers without having any
knowledge.
Introduce 5-6th graders to the basics of PowerPoint
and go from there. I do my students in 20 min. blocks
every week. They're having fun right now learning
about font style, size and color. By the end of the
year, with time and patience, they'll be able to enter
JH knowing they won't be daunted by technology
illiteracy.
