A friend of mine just wrote to remind me that there is something you can
do today.  In addition to keeping today's victims and their
families in your thoughts and prayers, you can take direct action by
flying your flag as a symbol of our nation's strength and
solidarity.  But one of the best things you can do today is give blood.
