Dear LM-netters, I have a problem and am turning to you for help. My periodical room has very poor light and I hate to look for magazines = when people request them. We presently have three aisles with floor to = ceiling stacks of magazines on each side. There's a series of flourescent = lighting fixtures over the center aisle but the two outside aisles remain = quite dark. I have requested more lighting and the estimate came back at over $1400. = One of the administrators asked if I would be willing to take it out of = book and/or AV budget!!!! I feel like it's a building problem and the = building budget should be used. How can I measure the amount of lighting I have and what are the standards = for adequate lighting? Have any of you had to deal with a similar problem = and, if so, how have you handled it? Thanks in advance for any ideas or help.
