Sorry for the cross post. I'm booktalking ethnic authors tomorrow (persons not American or if they are American they also have a hyphen in front Asian-, Native-, etc.) and would like to know the ethnicity of E. R. Frank author of Life is Funny and America. I haven't read the first but loved the second and would like to add it to a multicultural list but I can't add to this one until I know her ethnicity. I've tried several search engines, the publisher's website and some databases. Please don't spam me about the type of talk it is; it is what the teacher requested. Part of the assignment is to comment on why the student thinks the author's ethnicity influenced actions of characters in the books, or if it makes a difference. Can anyone help? I highly recommend America as a sad yet inspiring read.
