Colleagues, I am trying to insert a midi file into a Powerpoint presentation. I am using Office 98 on Macintosh System 8.6. I downloaded the file. If I double click it, it plays in MoviePlayer, so I know it's there. But when I try to insert it into the Powerpoint file, I get a message that Powerpoint cannot insert the file. In fact it doesn't recognize it as a sound file. But when I dragged that same midi file onto a PC disk, I could take it to school and insert it into a Windows Office 97 version of Powerpoint with no problem. It must be something about the MAC version of Powerpoint 98, that I don't know. Anyone have any ideas? According to the help files, I should be able to do this with a file in midi format.
