Help. I am helping a long-term sub who has never subbed in a HS before in planning a 9th grade library research project on Tale of Two Cities. We plan to have the students divided into groups of 3-4 (her biggest class is 43). Each group will research some aspect of French/English life, history, etc., as seen in the novel which they are reading, and then present it to the class. Does anyone have anything similar already in the can that you would be willing to share with us? The biggest problem I am having is coming up with the 10-11 aspects to be researched by the groups. So far I have: Costumes of the time Timeline of US, France, and England The French Monarchy Bastille Day and why the French celebrate it The Untimely End of Marie Antoinette Respond to me directly.
