Last Wednesday I wrote: "My fourth/fifth grade team is doing an interdisciplinary unit on = landforms. They are looking for pourquoi stories, creation legends, and = other folklore surrounding major world landforms (for example: Grand = Canyon, Ayers Rock, Sahara, etc.). Any ideas on where such information = can be found would be greatly appreciated!" I received very few responses, but everyone responding agreed that = Legends of landforms by Carole Vogel (c1999 ISBN 0-7613-0272-7) was the = book I needed. I was able to find it at my local public library, and it = is working wonderfully for our purpose. Thanks to all who responded!
