I am in a school that is about 75% minority. I have made a great effort to develop a large African American fiction collection, and we have a lot of materials on African American history and Civil Rights. This year we found ourselves with an unusual number of Hispanic students who had no English at all, so I applied for a grant and received $2000 to purchase popular and classic fiction in Spanish. It's great! -- Dr.Dana McDougald, Librarian CSHS Library, A National Award-Winnning Library Cedar Shoals H.
