Any native Irish speaking LM_Netters: I'm writing to ask a bit of assistance, off list is most appropriate and I apologize for the diversion. My husband is in a directing class and will be presenting W. B. Yeats' "On Baile's Strand." There are Irish names/words we need help with, please. How would one pronounce the following: On Baile's Strand: Aoife Baile Banachas Boann Bonachas Cuchulain, King of Muirthemne Conchubar, High King of Uladh Crubeen Dubthach Dundealgan Fand Formar Laegaire Maeve of Cruachan Sorcha Scathach Uathach I have some idea on most, but am not certain and am particularly unsure of which syllables to stress. I'll be "first woman" and will sing my chant (which contains some of the aforementioned) to "Brian Boru's March."
