Dear LM_Netters, Time for my 2 cents on the issue of study hall. I work in a small Catholic High School (about 450 students). All study halls are in the library. They range from three to 20 students depending on the period and there are seven (plus the lunch crowd) of them per day. So basically I am a babysitter (for this I earned a Master's Degree?) In addition to assigned study halls teachers send kids to me to make up tests or to wait while the teacher reviews a test with the other kids, or to do work on the computers. I never know if I will get to take my planning period on any given day. (I do get lunch because another teacher is assigned o the library for duty that period). So, how many kids in study hall? as many as the media center will support as long as they are studying. If they get to loud send them back to class. As for collaboration, I keep trying, and keep my fingers crossed.
