I am seeking advice from anyone who has gone through closing their = library during a renovation project during the school year. If you have = experience with having to close part or all of your library during = renovations and still met with students and classes please respond to me = privately. This is not a given but I need to prepare for the possibility = that renovations will take place during the school year and I will need = to box up a large portion of our lib.=20 I have defined some priorities in my mind (keeping all or part of the = fiction collection available to students in some fashion, having = non-fiction access - perhaps via wireless laptops, keeping the most used = portion of the reference collection available) but could use thoughts = and experiences from those who have done this. I have had experience = with this once and started my school year without a functioning library = in that instance, but only dealt with that for 2 months. This is a = different school and I need to prepare in my mind how I could function = for a full year or more and meet program needs as fully as possible. Thank you for your input, Debbie Becker Librarian North Broad Street School Oneida, New York dbecker@dreamscape.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
