Lynn, I feel for your situation. I have had to restore from my zip backup and that was scary enough. Now I am in the situation that our tech department is backing up on a tape and I use a script file to backup as recommended by Winnebago. It backs up onto the server itself. This makes me nervous, but I do not have access to the new server. Anyway, I worry about being in the same situation. I am wondering if a printed shelf list with barcode, author, title and call # could be used to restore the MARC records??? I have always updated this once a year. Maybe I should add ISBN #. Although I sometimes use this list to tweak our collection , this is the only important reason I can see for keeping a shelf list. I would at least call Follett and ask their recommendation. I have found that some technicians are reluctant to ask advice. Follet is the real expert when it comes to their software. Let us know how everything comes out. I'll be thinking of you.
