In the elem. setting, it is impossible to keep the easy books in order, other than being in the first letter of the author section...(Brown would be in the Bs, Jones in the Js, etc.) My check-out statistics for the month of Sept. was almost 7000. I do not have any aides to help shelve and very few reliable kids to help. Trying to locate a particular title takes forever! I'm thinking about color coding each book according to the first vowel. For example, Brown would be in the same color and area as Boston and Bohner. Is there anyone out there that does this and can tell me the pros and cons?thanks Jen Jennifer Taylor Library Media Specialist Poppy Learning Center Grades PreK-6 Dallas, TX Newlibrarian@aol.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
