Does anyone know of any cost-benefit analyses that have been done on classroom collections - reading improvement - test score improvement vs. cost of collections and teacher training? Could we interest some business partner in doing some? Intuition tells me that the benefits from. the enormous cost of classroom collections are slim or nonexistent (over the years - there is nearly always a bump for a first year because "its something new" - but the lasting benefit often diminishes or evaporates). Not so with the libraries! Carolyn Markuson markuson@comcast.net 61 Hickory Rd.
