Our senior English research paper has been radically redesigned, so of course we have few available resources and little time. Can you recommend resources on Victorian England and the U.S.? The students are to study an event or issue from that time period and compare news coverage (or other writings) then with current writings about it (i.e. What was written about the Irish Potato Famine then and how is it presented in books and journals now). This is to be tied in with literature from that era (I am fuzzy on just how the kids will do that). My print collection is very light on Victorian England and I have found a few good Web sites but we need a lot more. Primary sources are being emphasized by the teacher. I will post a hit. ---- Tony Doyle, Librarian Livingston High School, Livingston, CA tdoyle@muhsd.k12.ca.us <Http://www.lhs.muhsd.k12.ca.us/library/index.htm> "You don't have to burn books to destroy a culture.
